Corn Media Finish Removal
Not all restoration calls for the complete removal of the existing finish, but when it does, our corn media finish removal system will get your structure back down to bare wood. We have used this system not only on log structures, but also on cedar siding and other materials. Every situation is different and we do not always recommend corn cob blasting in all cases. We can come look at your project and give you a free estimate of what we believe to be the best method in your particular case.
Here you can see latex paint being removed from cedar siding. In many cases the corn media does a great job of removing finishes from cedar siding. It does rough up the wood some, this is commonly called fuzzing. If this happens we would follow up with sanding over the wood to remove the fuzz and smooth things back out. We always do a test area for the client to make sure they will be satisfied with the end result. This is where it pays to have a contractor that will take the time to do things right. With us, the right way means the client is happy with the finished product. |
